7.     Events will only be staged if 8 or more entries are received

a.    U11: Players born in 2014 or later 

b.     U13: Players born in 2012 or later

c.      U15: Players born in 2010 or later

d.     U19: Players born in 2006 or later

8.     Entry Fees Per Event:

a.     Juniors – R100 per event

b.     Seniors & Masters – R120 per event

c.      Doubles – R150 per team

9.     Closing date:

a.     The closing date for entries is Sunday 2^nd February at 22h00

b.     The completed entry forms must be submitted with players details, SATTB number (if available) and proof of payment to titanssportspmb@gmail.com

10.  Payments:

11.  Draw:

a.     The latest SATTB National Rankings will be used for seeding

b.     The draw will take place on Wednesday 5^th February 2024, at Titans Club @7pm 

 

12.  Umpiring:
Group stages will be umpired by players in the group, and losers may be required to umpire the knock-out stages.

 

13.  System of Play:

a.     All events will be played on a qualification format with the top two in each group qualifying for the second stage main draw.

b.     All matches, both qualifying rounds and knockouts will be best of 5 games.

14.  Equipment:

a.     Only ITTF approved tournament tables will be used

b.     ITTF Approved white balls 40+mm

15.  Entry Restrictions:

a.     Athletes may enter their own age category and may enter in one age category up.

b.     The men’s and women’s events will be open to all athletes. Preference will be given to seniors and U19 for the men’s and women’s events.

c.      U13 and U15 athletes entering into the senior division will not be charged an entrance fee.

16.  Prizes:             Medals will be awarded to all semi-finalists and finalists.

17.  Provisional Schedule of Play:

a.     Friday 07 February @ 6pm – Open Doubles and Masters Groups

b.     Saturday 08 February @9am – Junior & Senior Group stages and junior knockouts up to quarter finals. Senior/Masters to knockout stages also. Doubles knockouts to finals.

c.      Sunday 09 February @9am – Continuation of senior knockout and all semi-finals and finals

18.  General:

a.     Correct table tennis attire to be worn by all athletes. Shorts and T-shirts or golfers. Girls may wear skorts. If you have special requirements, please inform the club or referee in writing.

b.     Kindly be advised that the prospectus is subject to change without notice.

c.      Titans Sports Club shall not as a result of the cancellation of this tournament for any reason whatsoever and whether or not it was caused by any negligent action or omission on the part of the Titans Sports Club be liable for any loss, including consequential loss, or damages incurred by any team, individual or any person whatsoever nor shall it be liable to refund any payment made by such party.
